Description

One of the oldest garments in the history of mankind, the Tunic was known under the name of “Cotte”. Our package contains patterns for four different versions of Tunic and Cotte, based on extant exmples and written sources and suitable for men and women of all social classes from 900-1300. As a garment for the lower working classes the Cotte continues to be in use well into the early 15th century. Also included are notes on period sewing techniques and instructions to alter the pattern for smaller and larger sizes.

An essential basic of the medieval wardrobe to be used as an outer or undergarment!

Suitable for ladie’s sizes US 10-20 and men’s sizes S-L (= up to bust / chest 110 cm = 44″).
