Description
This style is typical for the transition period from late 18th to early 19th Century. It’s cut shorter than it’s predecessors and without the tabs at the waist easier to make. The stays are front lacing, there’s no problem putting them on.
The pattern is based on an extant garment in an American collection. A concise documentation is included.
The stays can be made fully or half boned. To make a fully boned pair you’ll need 8 m steel boning tape 5 or 11 mm wide.
Sizes US 8-14 (Bust 31 1/2 – 36 1/2″ = 79 – 91 cm) or 16-20 (38 – 41 1/2″ = 95 – 104 cm) per pack.
