Description

Wams (undergarment) and Schaube (coat) were fashionable items of menswear around 1500-1530. Both garments were worn by bourgeoisie and gentry, indicating a high social position.

This pattern includes the wams, a snug fitting garment, always worn with a shirt underneath (not included), closing at the front with either hooks and eyes or lacing, as well as the Schaube, a kind of cloak with long hanging sleeves and arm slits.
