Description
Before homes were equipped with sewing machines, cotton threads were often presented on thread cards. There was a wide choice of shapes and colours and these cards have now become a charming collectable item.
They are sold in sets of 6, printed on both sides on 2 mm thick cardboard and presented in a blue floral motif box.
- Deauville depicts “La Mode de Paris” in the 1930s with women wearing pretty hats.
- Cabourg depicts historical wallpaper motifs.
- Bayeux depicts historical wallpaper motifs.
- Caen depicts historic portraits of different characters : a fireman, Joan of Arc, Saint Nicolas, an indian girl, a grape picker and a ranger.
