Description

This pattern is based on an extant wrap dress held in the Wade Collection of  Snowshill Manor, UK. It enables you to recreat this beautiful dress as described in Janet Arnolds book  “Patterns of Fashion I” pages 44-45 without having to enlarge it first! The half gown is worn with the matching underskirt also included in the package and is suitable for morning occasions. The long gown can also be used for afternoon or evening wear. Similar half gowns are depicted in period fashion magazines and have been preserved in textile collections. A well documented pattern with detailed instructions.
