Description

The sewing pattern for our Regency Open Robe or Open Gown is based on extant originals, dating to 1795-1805. The high empire waistline was already popular in the 1790s and the Robe as a type of coat dress was perfect to combine with a multitude of different underdresses for day or evening wear.

Our model has long fitted sleeves ending in a slight bell shape on the hands. The main dress body consists of just two large pieces joined by a backseam, fitted to the body with decorative pleats.

German Size 34-50 (UK 6-22) included (Bust 80 – 112 cm = 32 – 45″, Waist 66 – 98 cm = 26 1/2 – 39″).
