Description

This delicate piece of jewelry is the reproduction of a pearl necklace Marie Antoinette wears in an 1786 portrait done by Élisabeth Vigée-Lebrun. It consists of round and pear shaped faux pearls accented in goldtone.

Necklaces like this were also worn well after the 18th Century as a portrait of the princess Tatyana Alexandrovna Yusupova by Xaver Winterhalter from 1858 shows.

Lenght is adjustable from 41 to 46 cm.
