Description
The Gibson Girl bride who wore this two-piece wedding gown in June 1899 incorporated several fashionable elements into its design, such as the “mousquetaire” sleeves which are gathered along the seam line, a high collar, a v-shaped waist, and a gored skirt en train. The original is of medium-weight silk satin and ornamented with chiffon, beads, and lilies-of-the-valley. The complete POH pattern line is discontinued, once all stock is depleted.
Size S (US 8-10-12 = Bust 31 1/2 – 34″ = 78 – 85 cm, Waist 24 – 26 1/2″ = 60 – 65 cm) or L (US 14-16-18 = Bust 36 – 40″ = 90 – 100 cm, Waist 28 – 32″ = 70 – 80 cm) included.
