Description

Pattern for a Chemise Dress based on a period gown in the collection of the Danish National Museum, worn by Eleonora Sophie Rantzau in 1797 at her wedding to landgrave Preben Bille-Brahe. The dress closes centre front over a lining bodice. The outer bodice is draped and held in place by a drawstring. Cut and shape of the gown are reminiscent of earlier 18th C. chemise dresses. Highly fashionable features like its v-neck and the pleated back make this dress a treat to wear on afternoon as well as on evening occasions.

Sizes German 38-48 (= US size 8-18, UK 10-20, France 40-50 = Bust 88 – 110 cm) included.
